Workshops led by volunters from iCerv, Public Allies, Community Career Center, and Accenture.

Spotlight: Partnerships and Workshops for School Community
With the overwhelming response from the community, the workshops that were held for students and parents from Rosemont on MLK Day were packed.  Members of iCerv led Pathways to College workshops for nearly two hundred children and parents. A group of parents attended a Getting Back to Work workshop led by a local WorkSource center with a breakout session led by Silver Shovel sponsor Accenture executives who met with attendees on a one-on-one basis. Northrop Grumman, another Silver Shovel sponsor for the day, supported the programming as Public Allies rounded out the day with a session on Dr. King during the lunchtime hour.

MLK Jr. Day Extra Perks
In addition to the amazing service activities that revitalized the campus, MLK Jr. Day had some fun extra flair thanks to a few special guests. Wil Dance Fit kicked the day off with some energetic zumba to get our hearts pumping while HOT 92.3 and Shepard Fairey a.k.a. DJ Diabetic kept sounds flowing all day, keeping spirits high! A delicious lunch was provided by Original Tommy's, Fatburger and Komodo. O.N.E. Coconut Drink provided a tasty treat and Capital Photo Booths captured your smiles from the day.
