THE MIGHTY MANATEES @ PETE'S BARN! - Ever since we were the very first band to perform at Pete's Barn, it has continued to be one of our favorite places to play. Although it has been our clubhouse and rehearsal space for over a decade, we have not staged a concert there since last July. It is therefore with great joy that we announce our return on SATURDAY, APRIL 2.
My 11 year old daughter Fiona sings in a Bel Canto choir and this show will be a big fund raiser for them. They are going to be touring Europe this summer with performances in Koblenz, Germany; Bruges, Brussels; and Amsterdam, Netherlands. The Mighty Manatees are calling this barn dance "Singin' For The Choir". This will be a "Beef & Beverage" event where food and drink are included in the ticket price. More details to follow as the date approaches. Tickets are limited and can be purchased from band members at any of our shows. Please mark it on your calendar!
BLUE BELL INN - Next week, on Saturday, Feb. 20, we will be back at the Blue Bell Inn in Blue Bell, PA. Our line-up for the evening will be Kathleen Weber on vocals, Randy Wagner on bass and vocals, John Rosa-Bian on saxophone, Jim Hines on drums, and yours truly on upside-down left-handed acoustic guitar and vocals. MANATEES FUN FACT: Did you know that former Mighty Manatees drummer Tim Campbell is a waiter at The Blue Bell Inn and sits in on drums with us for a song or two whenever we play there? It's true!
BLUE DOG TAVERN - And speaking of Mighty Manatees drummers... Ras Mykyl will be playing the drums with us when we return to The Blue Dog Tavern in Chalfont, PA, on Friday, February 26. We will be playing a predominately roots, rock, reggae show which will start sometime around 9:30 PM. Bring your vaporizer.
