As we begin the 150th Year of the London Underground, Art Below kicks off 2013 with ‘Art of Angel’, showcasing the work of 16 outstanding international artists throughout Angel
Station for 2 weeks starting today and coinciding with the 25th London Art Fair (16th-20th Jan).
Accompanying the underground exhibition will be the “Art of Angel” group show
opening on Thursday evening at the Candid Arts Trust, a historic Victorian warehouse with over 6,500 sq ft of exhibition space, located directly behind Angel station, open to the public until Sunday 20th January.
Among the artists taking part in the group show at the Candid Arts Trust is Alison Jackson who's image of what appears to be the Queen and Pippa Middleton on the London Underground is currently featured on the artbelow website.
Krystle Cole, founder of neurosoup.com is showcasing ‘Lysergic Mandala’, that features on the front cover of her book ‘Lysergic’ - a biographical insight into her life with Gordon Todd Skinner and Leonard Pickard, the infamous LSD chemists who operated their lab in an underground missile silo in Kansas which was reported to have been producing 90% of the world’s supply of LSD.
