In The Spotlight:   One of the plans for the park that never made it off the drawing board was a total revamp of the park's Front Gate. The elaborate plans would have completely changed the entrance plaza, expanding and modernizing it.

Happy New Year!    We've got some great new things in store for the next year including: The launch of the Great Adventure History Database The Great Adventure History Yearbook pages A complete archive of all the park's maps from 1974-2010 Profiles of all the park characters from the opening season And to kick things off in January: A spotlight on the first season of the Safari    IMAGES OF AMERICA:  SIX FLAGS GREAT ADVENTURE  The book is now available through bookstores everywhere, and through Amazon.com!   Featuring more than 200 photos, many never seen before, and chronicling the design, construction and all of the changes in the park for the past 35 years.
