COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – June 12, 2023 – The historic Holden House 1902 Bed & Breakfast Inn today announced it has been recognized by Tripadvisor as a 2023 Travelers’ Choice award winner for Hotels and Inns. The coveted award celebrates businesses that have consistently received great traveler reviews on Tripadvisor over the last 12 months, placing these winners among the 10% of all listings on Tripadvisor globally.

Built in 1902 by Mrs. Isabel Holden, the widow of a prosperous Colorado Springs businessman, the Holden House is a lovely Victorian inn featuring three adjacent homes decorated with family heirlooms and elegant antiques. We're located on a quiet tree-lined residential street, just a mile from downtown, near historic Old Colorado City and just a few minutes from quaint Manitou Springs. Holden House continues to receive the best ratings from recognized organizations such as the Bed & Breakfast Innkeepers of Colorado and AAA "Best of Housekeeping" accolades. This month, we were selected once again as a "Best of the Springs" award recipient in 2023 from The Colorado Springs Gazette and Travelers' Choice Award from Tripadvisor!
In addition to our six individually appointed guest suites all with private baths, our full gourmet breakfast is always included in your stay along with afternoon wine social and 24 hour coffee/tea service with K-cup coffee maker. Banana Walnut Stuffed French Toast
Yields about 8 servings
Ingredients:
16 slices texas toast or French bread
cream cheese
4 sliced bananas
chopped walnuts
4 eggs
½ cup milk
½ tsp. Vanilla
Spread cream cheese on all slices of bread. Dip bread slices in egg, milk, and vanilla mixture. Place banana slices and nuts in half the bread slices. Top with remaining slices. Bake on cookie sheet sprayed with non stick coating for 20-30 minutes turning once during baking to brown both sides. Serve with maple syrup, whipped topping and fresh strawberries.
