Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

APPLY HEAVENLY WISDOM TO DAILY LIFE

As Christian parents we want our children to use the gifts and intellect given them by their Creator God. We want them to apply themselves to each subject and learn and then apply what they have learned to everyday life.

As Christian parents -- and as such Christian educators -- it is our earnest desire that our children not only learn God's Word, but learn to apply what they have learned to situations that confront them in everyday life. As a Christian pastor, I want more for my students than that they are able to parrot back to me Luther's Catechism along with golden nuggets of Scripture. I want them to hide that Word in their hearts and apply that Word to their lives and use it. After all, the things written in Scripture were written for our learning and ongoing education (cf. Romans 15:4).

We want our children to learn to apply heavenly wisdom to their daily lives, as Joseph once did when confronted by Potiphar's wife (Genesis 39:9). We want our children to be shining beacons that glorify their heavenly Father (cf. Matthew 5:16) by proving what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

May God help all of us, young and old alike, not only to tell people what God's will is, but also show it by the things that we say and do so that our Savior Jesus is glorified and still others inquire about Him.
