Hello Firstname

Normal Service Resumed!

Wednesday 6 May
Next week we have an evening of images by our own Andrew Marker ARPS. The evening will be split into two distinct halves, the first will be prints and will show images from places including Venice and Dungeness and will also feature his recent ARPS panel. After the break we are to be treated to a selection of AVs from places as varied as Yellowstone and Venice, Colorado and Scotland.
Both halves will include a mixture of some of Andrew’s older and more recent work. The actual content may vary as, knowing Andrew, he is unlikely to finalise everything until the last minute.

Unit 13
Work is still on schedule which means that the contractors should be finished by 13 May, this will allow us just under 2 weeks to move everything from 12 West Mall and get the place ready for the club to move in. It is planned to have an open afternoon (3-5pm) on Sunday 24 May when members will be able to visit the new clubrooms to familiarise themselves with the place and also to sort out the best route from home. To make it a bit more of a special event we will be having nibbles and drinks and also displaying members’ RPS distinctions panels and other photographs around the walls.
As we are laying on food, we to need know how many members (and better halves) are likely to be coming along, so please RSVP to Carol, either by email, membership@bristolphoto.org.uk or by phone: landline - 0117 9241338 or mobile - 07702 938710 (phone or text) by 16 May.

Annual Projected Image Competition
The closing date for the Annual Projected Image Competition has been extended until next Wednesday, 6 May (largely because I forgot to remind you last week!). Please see your current BPS Handbook for the rules and file naming protocol. Alternatively, please follow this link.

Calumet Open Day
I wouldn't normally advertise commercial events, but as we are trying to build a two-way, beneficial relationship with our soon to be neighbours, Calumet, I am quite happy to promote their open day on May 7. If you want something to take your mind off the election on Thursday, pop along to their branch at Montpelier to see demonstrations, new products and much more. There will also be the opportunity to get your sensor cleaned if you are a Nikon or Canon user. Please follow this link for further details.
Members might like to know that we already receive a 10% discount on Calumet own brand products on production of a BPS membership card.
