eNews for our Wholesale Customers
Hello & welcome to our 1st edition of "Katching Up".
Our intention is to publish our wholesale newsletter once per month (on or about the 21st). It'll be TOTALLY different from our consumer newsletter because you're retailers, your needs are completely different and for this reason we've spent the last month searching out and rounding up TEN link that we're positive you'll think are worth clicking on. We know how busy you are, but you still need to stay current with the latest news in such areas as marketing, social media, and the sewing industry, right? So we promise to not waste your time! Speaking of which, let's get started!

So... Here's TEN links I thought were
worth clicking on this month!
From the World of Sewing
  • If you teach sewing classes or do presentations of any type, then you may enjoy these excellent tips from Becka Rahn on how to make it work, including how to deal with "The Table Who Whines".  OK---this example involves 8th graders, but in my experience, teaching is teaching... regardless of the age group involved, right?
From the Trade Show Floor
  • Carrie Nelson at Moda did a fantastic job on a blog series about the Spring Quilt Market. She gives us an inside view of how they plan their booth, set it up, interact at the show, and then take it all down. Michael Miller Fabrics did a similar blog series which you can access HERE and then you can see Quilt Market from a small vendors view (ours) HERE.
  • When you're vending at a show (regardless of what type it is) it literally pays to be prepared! In this piece, Anna Anagno will give you some tips that just may help you sell more!
From the IT Department
  • I don't know about you, but sometimes Adobe PhotoShop makes me want to SCREAM, but here's a very excellent article that might help you understand the confounding subject of.... "Layers". (it helped me, I hope it helps you too!)
From the World of Business
  • Every business has an ebb and flow. (Our slow months are July and December.) But here's 40 things you can do to GROW your business during those slow times!
From the World of Social Media
  • Are you trying to beef up your social media presence? Who isn't, right? Well in that case, you might enjoy this piece by Guy Kawasaki in which he shares TEN Tips that will help you create the perfect social media post!
  • And if you sometimes need help coming up with fun ideas for blog, FaceBook or Instagram posts, you might enjoy this article by Arianne Foulks, 260 Blog Post Ideas!
  • So... Is FaceBook dying? Rumors fly to this effect everytime FaceBook changes their algorhythm. Sometimes it seems that FaceBook is the social platform that we all LOVE to HATE! But according to recent research, rumors of FaceBook's demise are premature!
From Where I Sit
  • OK... so maybe this article has nothing to do with ANY of the topics above, but since the subject matter is near and dear to my heart (considering that I spent 29 years of my life working at a large municipal treatment plant) and because it articulates my point of view precisely I've included it.                                        Why We Should STOP Drinking Bottled Water
