In this issue, we take a look at the best photos our team captured at each of the MLU's combines this season, get a firsthand look at the experience of covering a tourney with UltiPhotos in our Behind the Camera blog, and make an exciting announcement about CUT Camp! Additionally, we'll recap the amazing tourneys we've recently covered and take a look at what's on our plate in the coming month.

Best of MLU Combines 2014

Over the last few months, our team has had the privilege to cover several combines for each of the 8 MLU teams across the country. We watched as some of the best players around battled it out for a spot on a professional Ultimate team, and are excited to bring you the top highlights from these combines, plus an inside look at two practices.

In our Behind the Camera blog, we try to not only relate our experiences as Ultimate photographers to the everyday player, but also to help ourselves and each other in this sometimes stressful but always fun job. One of our newest contributing photographers, Alex Rentzis, volunteered to write about his experience covering his first UltiPhotos tourney. Behind the Camera: The Challenge of Expectation tells the familiar tale of taking on a challenge and rising up to it in the best way possible: letting go and having fun. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did! |

CUT Camp was created out of the vision to help improve youth ultimate and provide high school players an opportunity to learn from some of the best players and coaches in the nation. We think what the camp does for youth players and Ultimate is terrific, and are very excited about our partnership with them this summer! Jolie J Lang will be covering Session I (June 15-20).

There are some huge events coming up that we're very excited to be covering. Check them out:
- College Terminus: Christina Schmidt and Terry Nelson will be covering College Terminus on 3/15-3/16 in Atlanta, GA this year - check out her awesome coverage from last year to get pumped!
- Steakfest 2014: For the 4th year in a row, we will be providing Official Tournament Coverage for Steakfest! It will be held 3/22-3/23 in Kennett Square, PA, and the bid window is open!
- Yorktown team coverage at YULA: Kevin Leclaire will be covering both Yorktown HS and JV at this youth tourney, held 3/22-3/23 in Arlington, VA.
- New England Open: Burt Granofsky will be out covering NE Open again this year, held 3/29-3/30 in South Hamilton, MA.
- Junior's Terminus: Christina Schmidt will be there on 3/29-3/30 in Atlanta, GA for all the action!
- WAFC's Fool's Fest: Pete Guion is headed out to this huge reunion tourney 4/4-4/6 in Fredericksburg, VA - be prepared for some wacky photos!
