Huntsville Town Hotline

In this Hotline:

Upcoming meeting

I was asked to forward this information and feel it is VERY important for all Huntsville residents, so here it is:

March 27, 2007 4:30 PM

Ogden Valley Planning Commission Meeting

Weber Center 2380 Washington Blvd Ogden, (County Commission Chambers)

The Rivers Cluster Subdivision is on the agenda for preliminary approval and the subdivision will have a great impact on Huntsville residents. The location is directly south of Huntsville Town at 7800 E and Highway 39 (the area East of the large white barn with trees painted on the end). As of now, the entrance will be from Highway 39, although the petitioners have made attempts at purchasing land inside town to be used for access. They are planning on 46 building lots with lots as small as 11,000 sq. ft. (1/4 acre) while Huntsville lots are at least 3/4 acre, or nearly 1 acre including the "verge." The land is inherently wet and is bordered by flood plain.

They will receive culinary water from Eden Waterworks and will be sending sewage to the proposed Bison Creek Ranch Sewage plant on 8150 E Hwy. 39.  Apparently the petitioners asked to be annexed into Huntsville Town a couple of years ago, but were denied because of the density and wetlands issues.

Residents will be allowed up to 3 minutes to speak for or against the project during the Meeting. For more information or to see the agenda, go to: http://www1.co.wehttp://www1.co.weber.ut.us/planning_commission/ click on "Planning Commission" then agendas.

50th Wedding Anniversary

Congratulations to Huntsville Residents Richard and Kathryn Ensign who recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary.  They were married March 14, 1957 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and have 4 children, 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

That’s all for now, have a great week.

Sincerely,

Richard L. Sorensen
