"Those who love deeply never grow old; they may die of old age, but they die young."
-Arthur Wing
Thank-you Arthur. I couldn't have said it better myself. I know it's a little early for another Ranger Report but we have some new information to impart.
First of all we are sad to report that the mighty Bell House (aka Rising Sun) in Franconia, PA will be closing it's doors permanently at the end of August. This place at one time was our home away from home, our clubhouse as it were. A place where all sorts of folks could sit in and play, or sing with us. A place where we could try out new songs and arrangements. A place where
etc.,etc I think we played our first show there in the spring of '99. At any rate, this Thursday (Aug. 11) will be our last Thursday there and Friday (Aug. 26) will be our very last show there ever. Come on out two more times
..for old times sake.
Secondly, this Friday (Aug. 12) at La Taverna has been rescheduled due to ongoing reconstruction. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Finally, we are doing an interesting double-gig on Sunday Sept. 18. From 2:00-3:00pm we will be playing an outdoor show at Lock 60 on the banks of the canal in Phoenixville, PA. Immediately following that set we will be playing just two miles down the canal at our last Fitzwater Station show of the season from 4:00-8:00pm. Already several groups of fans have made plans to row or paddle their canoes or kayaks from the one show to the next. A Manatee fleet
a Manatee armada
Avast ye mateys, aarrr,
