Did you know that 75% of American pretzels are made within 100 miles of Lancaster Pennsylvania? It is no wonder then that there are so many varieties of this very popular snack, and Lancaster Pennsylvania has an abudance of choices.
A favorite of many After Eight Bed & Breakfast guests, Immergut Pretzels is right in downtown Intercourse. The young Amish ladies will roll and twist a pretzel if you ask, but they are quick. You will also want to enjoy a fresh squeezed lemonade with your pretzel. Everything here is made fresh daily.
While still in Intercourse, make sure that you also stop at Intercourse Pretzel Factory where they have both soft and hard pretzels. Take a tour and you can also learn how to twist your own pretzels.

Hammond's Pretzels Founded in Lancaster PA in 1931, Hammond's Handmade Pretzels is the oldest continuously family operated handmade pretzel company in American. These sour dough hard pretzels are very popular and can be ordered in different varieties including chocolate covered. Don't forget to check out the collectable tins, in several styles.
Founded in 1861, Julius Strugis Pretzel Bakery, located in Lititz, PA, is oldest commercial pretzel bakery in America. Join them this year to help them celebrate their 150th year anniversary. Don't forget to take a tour of their factory.
Take a tour in New Holland Pennsylvania at the Dutch Country Soft Pretzel Factory. You won't be able to resist the aroma and enjoy one or two these delectable snacks. They also have pretzels available in a Glutten-Free variety. |

After Eight Bed & Breakfast Gardens
The flowering cherry is just past it's peak and now we are getting the 'pink' petal showers all over the lawn and side walk. It is time to enjoy the outdoors and the gazebo. The columbines are also just beginning their yearly display. It will be a fabulous spring in the gardens. Come and enjoy and don't forget about the Pretzels.
