Arita Gilliam Rue sees the next four years as critical to the advancement of the educational opportunities for the students of the Pittsburgh Public Schools. In addition to eliminating the achievement gap, Arita recognizes that preparing Pittsburgh students to achieve excellence positions them for college and career readiness. We must begin to assess their skills, interests and aptitudes to help them and their parents recognize and maximize their strengths.
