5/16/19
Mandatory graduation rehearsal is tomorrow at 11:30. Students must be present in order to walk on Sunday.

Our Lockdown Drill went very smoothly yesterday. Thank you to the Fremont Police Department for helping us out. We appreciate their efforts as well as their frequent visits.

We are ordering t-shirts to support one of our students who has Leukemia. More information is on the FHS Facebook page.

If I had to guess, it looks like we are going to be indoors for graduation. Here is a rough draft of the Facebook page going up tomorrow (Please let me know if you have any suggestions.):

The Class of 2019 will take part in commencement ceremonies this Sunday, May 18 at 2:00. The weather is looking to dampen our outdoor celebration, so we are preparing for the ceremony to be held at Fremont High School. Because it has been 12 years since we have had indoor graduation, we wanted to remind you of our process.
1. All students receive eight tickets. Those tickets may not be sold but can be given away. There are no additional tickets, and no tickets will be available through the school. This is a day for the graduates, so we have given every ticket to them.
2. Every person admitted will need a ticket. Small children and babies still require a ticket even if they are being held on laps because we are dealing with a capacity issue. Each person must be accounted for.
3. We will be at standing room capacity. That means that the last 200-300 attendees to arrive will be expected to stand on the track during the event.
4. No bags besides those that are medical necessities will be allowed. All medical bags will be searched.
5. Blankets and other items used to reserve seats are not allowed and will not be admitted to the facility. There is no “holding saved” seats by one person. To be assured of a seat, you must be present.
6. Our doors will open at 12:30.
7. Mobility challenged individuals will be directed to the reserved space available on the track. We ask that only the mobility challenged person and one caregiver if needed, use the space provided.
8. Parking will be limited. We ask that you carpool as much as possible. We will be running a shuttle from the east parking lot of the Pine Street Athletic Field beginning at 1:00 and occurring every 10 minutes.
9. Vehicles parked on the “S-curve” will be towed. Vehicles parked in the drop-off area of the main entrance will be towed. Any vehicle that impedes traffic will be towed. No warnings will be given.
10. Please plan on arriving early. We will begin promptly at 2:00 pm.
11. A determination on an indoor or outdoor graduation will be made by 12:00 pm on the day of the event. It will be posted here first.
