2015 is here and so the big issue of Millenium Developments Goals looms. Na Chainkua combines the representation and language of West African batiks to address the thorny developmental, environmental and health issues.
Also showing are works by Rochelle Martin.

Artists' talk and opening at 10am on 7 February 2015

A group of photographers have come together to create projects and works chronicling a number of everyday issues after spending 2 months working with photographer, Nii Obodai.
The works of Caleb Hampton, Nii Obodai, Seton Nicholas, Adoma Afful-Kwaw and Abdul Karim Abu will be shown from 7 February.
The programme will start with an artists' talk.
 

Exhibition:'Homage to Efua'
UN-Geneva, Switzerland

Ghanaian and Nigerian artists pay tribute to the late Efua Dorkenoo, founder of FORWARD UK and campaigner against human rights violations against women.
They spent 2 weeks at the Nubuke Foundation studio creating new works in her honour for an exhibition in collaboration with Global Alliance Against Female Genital Mutilation.
Exhibition opens at the UN on 7 February 2015.
Artists were Godfrey Williams-Okorodus, Wiz Kudorwor, Larry Otoo, Olusegun Adejumo, and George Edozie.

National Museum

The National museum celebrates painting in Ghana with an exhibition of a selection of works from the National Collection with E.V. Ashine, Dr. Kobina Bucknor, Amon Kotei, Kofi Antubam, A.O. Bartimeus, J.C.O. Okyere, E. Owusu Dartey, Emmanuel Addo Osafo, F.A. Gyampo, J.D. Okae among others.
Visitors were treated to a the unforgetable experience of peeking into the live studio setting of Prof Ablade Glover as he painted one of his masterpieces in the gallery.

Exhibition: Who is wearing my T-Shirt- The Billboard Project
Alliance Francaise and around Accra
17 December 2014 to 17 January 2014
The effects of the used-garments trade, culture and identity are explored by Zohra Opoku in a bold step to reach the people in the city of Accra with T-Shirt installations draped billboards at different vantage places in Accra.
