Hello Firstname

Wednesday 4 September
This Wednesday marks the start of the new 2013/2014 Programme which has been put together by Mike Bews. If you have either looked at it in your Handbook or on the club website, you will see that yet again Mike has excelled himself and put together a wonderful and varied programme with something to satisfy everyone. As is traditional at BPS, the season kicks off with a presentation by our Chairman, Neil McCoubrey, who has sent me the following few words as a tempter to get you there:

Next Wednesday sees the start of another BPS year and, apparently, it is my privilege to present the opening talk. I won't forget, as Carol & Millie have been reminding (nagging) me all summer and I hope that you'll be there too! It isn't going to be quite the usual Chairman's talk but you'll just have to come along to find out why.

Neil

Projected Image Competition
Last week, 4th Sept was quoted as the closing date for the first round of the Projected Image Competition. As the sharper eyed among you have already noticed, this doesn't agree with the date of the 11th that is quoted in the new Handbook - the correct date is the 11th (don't blame me, I'm only the messenger!). However, as there are only 2 weeks between the official closing date and the competition itself, Jeff would appreciate you getting your entries in as soon as possible so that he can do all the work that is necessary before he sends everything off to the judge.

Clubrooms Now Open
Following the short closure of the clubrooms for redecoration, I'm pleased to report that everything is now complete and that all facilities are once again available for members.

2013-2014 Programme
The 2013-2014 BPS Handbook is now available and will be distributed to members at regular Wednesday meetings over the next few weeks. For those who haven't yet received their copy, the programme is now on the BPS Website, please click here.
