Exhibition: We are Africa!
6 to 31 March
Nubuke Foundation

Is painting a dying art form in Ghana? Out of all the 8 artists who took part in this exhibition, the nearest we had to work on canvas were 5 works- part of an installation from Bernard Akoi-Jackson.
There were performances by Serge Clottey, Ato Annan and Bernard in the streets of Accrs and at Nubuke Foundation.
Several questions were being posed by the artists..
Adwoa Amoah's work was critically looking at Ghana's poverty in the midst of plenty- posing questions which were reactions to illegal gold mining and smuggling...
Ato Annan's performance was based on writings by Ghanaian writer, Ayi Kwei Armah.
Kwesi Ohene Ayeh's piece invited visitors to interact as well as react to several thought provoking extracts from Kwame Nkrumah's writings.

Art Dubai Fair
20-23 March 2013
Dubai, UAE

There was an overwhelming response to the 5 galleries including Nubuke Foundation who were representing West Africa at the just ended Art Dubai Fair.
Nubuke Foundation, on its part chose to show the works of Prof Ablade Glover. Some other artists represented at the other West African stands were Abdoulaye Konate, Ndidi Dike,Soly Cisse and Joseph Francis Sumegne.
Across from our stand, we feasted our eyes on works in other galleries present-like Yayoi Kusama represented by the Victoria Miro gallery.
