Dear classic car enthusiast,
Spring has arrived in our region and many owners have taken their classic car out of winter storage again; the great motoring enjoyment is about to begin again! In the past weeks, beautiful newly arrived classic cars have been driven and photographed.
I present seven of them to you today. You will see two very impressive top quality Bentley Specials built by Racing Green Engineering in Wales of which you can see a massive 'straight-eight' engine pictured above. Furthermore, you will find two great historic rally cars for sale; a Jaguar XK 150 3.8 Litre coupé, and an austin Healey 100/6 with hard-top, both ready for any historic rally/ regularity event. Italian special body enthusiasts are spoiled with a wonderful Alfa Romeo GT 1600 Junior Zagato, and British sports car adepts can enjoy a smashing series 1 Lotus Elan 1600! At Classic Job the special project of the 1932/33 Citroën Rodalie 'Spido' record car has been updated!

1932/33 CITROËN ROSALIE 'SPIDO' PROJECT AT CLASSIC JOB

Classic Job is building a replica of the legendary 1932/33 Citroën Rosalie 'SPIDO' record car for a Dutch customer. Just like the lost original Rosalie 'SPIDO', the recreation is built on a Citroën 15CV chassis with a 2722 cc six-cylinder engine. The aluminum body is recreated using historical photos. The wooden mold to shape the body panels by hand is ready and the first panels of the roof and rear are being made. More information on the website.

Alfa Romeo GT 1600 Junior Zagato, year 1974. Colour dark red combined with a black interior. This beautiful GT 1600 Junior Zagato was sold new in Italy and imported into the Netherlands in 2003. The car has been beautifully restored in the past, with all good parts preserved and still original. The bodywork is completely rust-free and well protected with wax in the cavities. The interior is original with newly upholstered black leather seats and a beautiful period-correct Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio. Mechanically and technically everything is up to date. This Alfa Romeo is in excellent condition and the car drives and steers delightfully. The Alfa Romeo GT 1600 Junior Zagato is a very rare Alfa Romeo, only 402 examples were built in the period 1972 to 1975. A great find for the Alfa Romeo collector and enthusiast. Bentley Special 3/8 Racer, chassis year 1951. This impressive Bentley Special was hand-built by Racing Green Engineering from South Wales in the United Kingdom, and completed at the end of the year 2020. Colour blue with cream white accents, high-gloss black chassis and wire wheels. Interior finished with black leather and black mohair weather equipment. This beautiful Bentley Special 3/8 Racer is based on a 1951 Bentley Mk VI chassis that has been fully restored and was strengthened to accommodate the also fully rebuilt Bentley B81 6516 cc inline eight-cylinder engine and the (fully synchronized) Bentley four-speed manual gearbox. This Bentley special is in a like new top condition! This Bentley Special is registered in the Netherlands and can be imported into any country. More information on the website.

Austin Healey 100/4 (BN2), year 1956. Colour red combined with a red interior trimmed with black piping and red carpet. Black soft top and tonneau cover. This beautiful Austin Healey 'hundred four' was sold new in the Netherlands. The original owner must have caused quite a stir in the 1950s, because exotic sports cars like this were very scarce in the Netherlands. This Austin Healey was extensively restored in the period 1990-1995 and has rarely been driven since. The car has been restored to original factory specifications and the car shows beautiful original details. This 'Big Healey' is in beautiful and very good condition and shows only minor signs of previsou use. This is a beautiful example available for a very interesting price. This beautiful Bentley Speed 8 Special has been restored and built by the renowned company Racing Green Engineering in Wales (UK). The car was completed in the year 2022. This beautiful Bentley Speed 8 Special is built on a 1948 Bentley Mk 6 chassis, which has been restored to brand new condition. The chassis is completed with a large 6500 cc 8-cylinder in-line Bentley B80 engine with dry-sump lubrication, four S.U. carburettors and a fully synchronized 4-speed manual gearbox. This Bentley has had one careful owner who only drove 2700 kilometers with this impressive automobile. Lotus Elan 1600 (series 1), year 1964. Colour red with a black interior and a black soft-top. This car has production number 258. This beautiful Lotus Elan from the 1st series has been extensively restored, the car was recently completed. The special central tube chassis, the glass fibre reinforced plastic body and all mechanical components, including the Lotus twin cam engine, have been restored and overhauled. The restoration was carried out according to the original factory specifications. An extensive photo report and invoices of the restoration are available. This beautiful Lotus Elan is in a sublime condition and the car sounds and drives perfectly! The Lotus Elan is praised by many experts worldwide as the best-handling classic sports car with the best road holding.
