There has been a small delay with the repairs to Carols Wharf on Scotland
Island
- see below!
Carols is now closing
for
urgent maintenance from (about) Friday 29th February
A number of piles are going to be replaced by contractors to council.
This will cause some inconvenience. Children who are picked up by the
Newport
ferry will on ONE day only (hopefully) need to go to an alternate public
jetty.
A notice will appear on the ferry advising the day(s) and further details.
Speak
to the ferry operator for more help.
Residents of Scotland Island who moor their vessels at Carols will need to
make
alternate arrangements during the time the jetty is being repaired.
Perhaps a
neighbour or maybe leaving the boat at commuter jetty. If this applies to
you,
you might want to liaise with the contractor when they start, as to what
days
you will not be able to moor in your usual spot.
The contractor will need access to the jetty from 7am until 4pm on the
above
days.
Further information will be posted via this newsletter as it comes to
hand!
Further information? Call Pittwater Council 02 9970 1111 or wait until the
contractor starts and ask them for advice. |
