Huntsville Town Hotline

In this Hotline:

Emergency Town Council Meeting Thursday morning

My apologies as this will reach very few, but I wanted to still pass the word of an emergency Town Council Meeting Thursday at 8 AM.  The agenda posted at http://www.huntsvilletown.com/ soon.

Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.

Below are some important repeat items:

Property Tax Assessments

Huntsville Resident Laurel Parkinson has made arrangements with a local appraiser to conduct drive-by appraisals of Valley residences for a substantially discounted price of $100.  The normal price is about $300.

You may contact the appraiser directly at:

Davis Strong  (801) 631-6449

or contact Laurel at (801) 791-1113

You may also wish to contact the Weber Board of Realtors at (801) 476-4216
They will refer you to local realtors who have offered to conduct a Certified Market Analysis (CMA) of your property free of charge.

You may wish to have both an appraisal and CMA, then use whichever will provide the greatest tax benefit (lowest property value).

Thanks to Davis and Laurel for their generosity.

Property Tax Petitions

The petitions to have our values reassessed are available at http://www.huntsvilletown.com/  Our sincere thanks goes out to Huntsville Resident D-Bell who has spent countless hours researching local tax inequities and has forwarded his findings for the benefit of all Valley residents.  His findings are posted at http://www.huntsvilletown.com/

Also, thanks to Huntsville residents Carol Conway, Kathy Thompson, and Nicole Kinnear who have canvassed much of the town giving those without internet access the ability to sign the petition.

That’s all for now, have a great week.

Sincerely,

Richard L. Sorensen
