 WATERMARKS WEEKEND - KINDY ACTIVITIES The Island Children’s Centre will be taking part in the inaugural Watermarks Open Studios event being held on Saturday 19 – Sunday 20 from 10am to 4pm. Our centre will be displaying some of our children’s artwork, and we will be providing creative activities for kids, entertainment and food and refreshments throughout the weekend. Can you… BAKE A CAKE? OR BUSK? FOR THE KINDY CAFE Scotland Island Café makes its return for Spring. Café will be raising funds for the Kindy and needs some help with yummy cakes and slices to serve with delicious espresso coffee in the fabulous café lounge setting at Catherine Park. Can you: Bake a cake (or two)? Help serve on the day? Play music in the park? We anticipate lots of visitors from the mainland and would like to showcase our delicious contributions just like years past in the Kindy Market Fair. To ensure the best service we also need hands on deck to keep the show running smoothly! Cakes will be served by the slice, and smaller biscuit / slice type recipes are also great for the kids. Allergy / gluten friendly recipes are always welcome, too. Some great music floating over the park could just complete this idyllic picture! This will be ‘semi-plugged’ - a speaker and microphone will be available for singers, and also some equipment and help on-hand for other electronic sound, such as guitar pickup. Otherwise, bring your acoustic instruments! Ring to ask details on the equipment. PS Also serving gourmet veggie focaccias and salads, and delicious BBQ fare too!
