The first edition of Design Language is a fact and we want to thank everyone for visiting us at the new location and thank the international press for the incredible coverage; rated within the top 10 of shows by Icon Design Magazine, an extensive article in ELLE Decor, featured on Domusweb and being published in the Corriere della Sera and La Repubblica just to name a few.

Design Language’s aim was to create an international business platform at the Milan Design Week where authenticity and variety in design could be found, and that proved to be a huge success. This focus resulted in the participation of more than 55 designers and brands from 21 nationalities, each contributing with unique and characteristic works and a dedicated crowd of visitors that spent quality time viewing the 1600 sqm exhibition space, listening to our 16 Design Language Talks, unwinding with Ofele's coffee in our Sugar Bar and enjoying the Mixing the Dots Opening Cocktail on the eve of the salone. Mixing the diverse composition of international brands and designers gave rise to unexpected connections among the participants and brought about an international audience.

Language assistance
Another unprecedented characteristic of Design Language was the collaboration with Fondazione Milano. We had an excellent and professional support from the interpreter students of Altiero Spinelli College, who besides handling the press desk and assisting at the stands, did an incredible job simultaneously translating the talks from various languages into Italian and English. The Stoll Talks was a master-test deciphering 3D knitting jargon and transferring it into another language.
