FoodShare has been contacted by the producers of the Surreal Gourmet - a traveling cooking TV show with the theme of "Eat drink, and live well beyond your means," (www.surrealgourmet.com) that's coming to Toronto. They are looking for savvy community gardeners to be on the show. Its being filmed on Tuesday August 24th at Rockcliffe Community Garden, 301 Rockcliffe Blvd (Rockcliffe Blvd & Alliance Road). There is no compensation for participating but we think this is a great opportunity to promote the wonderful benefits of community gardening!
Here's what's required:
1. Contact Jennifer Volk at FoodShare by 5pm today (Friday Aug 20) to let her know your interested at tcgn@foodshare.net or 416 392 1668
2. Come Monday August 23rd to FoodShare's office at 238 Queen St W at 9:30am for an "audition" & they'll be bringing a video camera and filming you for a few minutes
3. If you are chosen then you head off to the taping on Tuesday August 24th at Rockcliffe. You'll get to sample yummy vegetarian foods prepared by the Surreal Gourmet! The taping will take place between 11 am or 12 noon to 6 pm
