Phil Girdlestone Cock-A-Hoop!
We are used to seeing sports photography from the likes of Keith Wood and Jeff Hargreaves, but now there's a new kid on the block Club member, Phil Girdlestone. Phil was cock-a-hoop (sorry!) to have one of his images chosen as the cover picture for the September issue of The Croquet Gazette, he also had another image reproduced inside the magazine.

Exhibition Nature Definition
Below is an article from the latest issue of PAGB eNews which may help to debunk some of the interpretations of the FIAP/PSA/PAGB Nature definition:

Trumpet Blowers' Corner
BPS President, Barry Mead, has just received a 3rd place in the PSA PID Image of the Year 2015 Contest with his image called Boarding Now. This is a contest fought out between images by a PSA member that have received a Gold, Silver, or Bronze PSA Medal (whether in an Open or Theme section) in a PSA-recognized PID Exhibition during the previous calendar year (2015). From this you will be able to see that the competition is pretty stiff as the images had to have already been award winners, so it is no mean feat for Barry to have gained this accolade. We have all probably seen this image before, but it's worth seeing it again.

Contrary to popular belief, I do not possess psychic powers and need you to tell me if you've had successes. If you want to blow your own trumpet (or someone else's), then this is the place to do it. Please let me know and I'll include details in a future issue.
