This is already the last newsletter of the year! With this edition we provide you with reading and viewing material to enter the Christmas holidays in a classic atmosphere!

On December 30, Altena Classic Service will hold an 'Open House Day' while enjoying delicacies. You are most welcome from 10:00 to 17:00.

LEA FRANCIS 2½ LITRE SPORTS ‘DELUXE’, 1951
 
Lea Francis 2½ Litre Sports ‘Deluxe’, year 1951. Colour dark red combined with a natural brown full leather interior and beige wool carpet. This beautiful Lea Francis 2½ Litre Sports is a rare car. Only 85 examples were built, and this is the only ‘Deluxe’ version!
Of the 85 examples built, 74 are still known and 54 examples are still roadworthy. Three cars are currently in Europe, one in France, one in Germany and this one (ex-UK car) in the Netherlands. This example was sold new in the UK (registration number LLH-112). In 2014 the car was purchased by the current owner who lived in the UK at the time. The owner (who has owned three Lea Francis cars in total) has cherished, perfected, and maintained the car excellently. An example is that the car was given a full service prior to the owner's sale! Everything works perfectly and the car drives fantastically!

PORSCHE 911 3.0 SC TARGA, 1982 
 
Porsche 911 3.0 SC Targa, year 1982. This is a ‘matching numbers’ and ‘matching colours’ Porsche 911, a certificate of authenticity is present to confirm this. Colour grey metallic (Zinn Metallic, Porsche colour code L956/Z8/U3) combined with a black leather interior and black carpet. This fantastic Porsche 911 from the G-series was sold new in the United States of America. In the US the car has only known two owners in 30 years. In 2012 the car was sold to Europe where it was part of a car collection. From new the car has only driven 52,405 miles! This Porsche 911 Targa is in a very good and super original condition!

FORD MUSTANG V8 HARDTOP, 1965
 
Ford Mustang V8 hardtop, year 1965. Colour Ivy green combined with an Ivy and Gold leatherette ‘pony’ interior. This beautiful Ford Mustang 289 V8 Hardtop was sold new in the USA. In February 2008 the car was purchased by Mr. P. Paccione in California. In 2014 the car was sold to Victoria in Australia via RM Auctions. In the years 2014-2016 the Ford was completely restored by a Mustang specialist on behalf of the owner. In 2017 this beautiful Ford Mustang was sold to the Netherlands. Since then the car has been maintained by S2 Classic Cars. This beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang Hardtop 289 V8 is in excellent condition and the car drives impressively well. With the four-speed gearbox it is a pleasure to direct the 271 horses to the rear wheels! This Ford Mustang is a great find for the Ford Mustang enthusiast and collector! JAGUAR XK 150 OTS (ROADSTER), 1958
 
Jaguar XK 150 OTS (Roadster), year 1958. Colour dark red (maroon) metallic combined with a beige leather interior and matching wool carpet. The car is fitted with a black mohair soft-top and a black tonneau cover. This glorious Jaguar XK 150 OTS (Open Two Seater, called ‘roadster’ in the US) was sold new in the US. The car was shipped to the Netherlands in 2010. In the Netherlands the bodywork was perfected and repainted, and the car was also mechanically brought up to date. The six-cylinder XK engine was replaced by a reconditioned unit, the original engine is still present. After completion of the work the owners have enjoyed the car for many years and discovered the Alps and a large part of Italy. BMW M3 (E46 3.2) Coupé, year 2001. Colour ‘Titansilber’ (silver metallic) combined with a dark grey/black leather interior with dark grey carpet. This beautiful BMW M3 coupé from the most sought-after E46 series, was sold new in France. The BMW M3 was purchased in 2019 by the current owner (56,350 km). The car has had a total of three private owners and has been fully documented from day one. The maintenance booklet is present as well as the maintenance invoices. The current owner has made some adjustments that can be reversed. On the website you will find a list of upgrades/adjustments and the complete list of options. DE TOMASO PANTERA, 1972
 
De Tomaso Pantera, year 1972. Colour red combined with a black leatherette interior and black carpet. This De Tomaso Pantera is currently equipped with a carbon bonnet and front lid, the original parts are present. This impressive De Tomaso Pantera was shipped from California in the USA to Germany in 2015. In Germany a lot of attention was paid to mechanically updating the car. Various parts were renewed, invoices are present. This De Tomaso Pantera is very spectacular to drive and the V8 exhaust sound is great! The car has never been restored and the car comes with the original American 'title'. This Pantera is in a good condition with a very nice completely original interior! The bodywork and paintwork show some imperfections here and there that are quite easy to correct, the price reflects this. ALFA ROMEO 2000 TOURING SPIDER, 1959
 
Alfa Romeo 2000 Touring Spider, year 1959. (First registration February 28, 1959.) Colour white combined with a red leatherette interior and black carpet. This stylish Alfa Romeo 2000 Touring Spider was sold new in the USA to an Italian living in Florida. This owner took the Alfa Romeo with him to Italy at some point. The Italian owned the car for fifty years before the Alfa Romeo was sold to the current Dutch owner in 2009. This Alfa Romeo 2000 Touring Spider is a real ‘survivor’. The car has been repainted a long time ago and the original engine has been replaced by another engine of the same type in the Netherlands. The original engine has been completely overhauled and can be purchased separately for (asking price € 10,000, -). This Alfa Romeo Touring 2000 Spider is in a reasonable condition, it is a driving project car. Recently some tears in the seats were repaired (the seats need new foam), the car was made roadworthy again and the brakes were made functional (after five years of inactivity). This Alfa Romeo Touring 2000 Spider can be modestly restored/overhauled and driven as a ‘survivor’, or the car can be partially/fully restored. The choice is up to a new owner and Alfa Romeo enthusiast!

AMICALE FACEL HOLLAND: FACEL VEGA FACEL II RESTORATION
 
This impressive Facel Vega Facel II from 1963 comes from the Palmen collection that was auctioned in 2023. The body sheetmetal work has been finished and the car has been provided with a KTL coating in a dip bath for perfect corrosion protection. S2 CLASSIC CARS: NASH HEALEY PININFARINA ROADSTER RESTORATION
 
This rare 1953 Nash Healey Pininfarina Roadster was sold new in the US. The Nash Healey was completely disassembled and sheet metaled by S2 Classic Cars. The bare metal bodywork was handed over to the painter who provided the bodywork with a first-class light green metallic 2K paint system and a black protective undercoat. In the meantime, all mechanical components have been cleaned, overhauled, and rebuilt by the specialists at S2 Classic Cars. CLASSIC JOB: 1954 TALBOT LAGO T26 GSL BODY RESTORATION
 
In the early fifties, the Talbot Lago Grand Sport was the best and fastest car built in France. The presented automobile left the Talbot Lago factory on December 30, 1954 to be delivered to a French customer. The car was delivered in black combined with a beige leather interior. Extras were chrome rims and Dunlop tires with white sidewalls. Classic Job was commissioned by a Swiss customer to restore the body and chassis of this beautiful top-class automobile. S2 CLASSIC CARS: FIAT 6C 1500 B CABRIOLET 2+2 GHIA RESTORATION
 
This fantastic and unique 1947 Fiat 6C 1500 B convertible 2+2 Ghia is being fully restored to its original glory by S2 Classic Cars. The bodywork has been well preserved over the years but it needed repair in several places. The woodwork in the windscreen style and in the A-pillars has been custom made by a partner woodworker. The wingcaps are currently being made to fit exactly. This Fiat 6C 1500 B convertible with Ghia bodywork won the class (vetture fuoriserie trasformabili fino a 1500cc) and the 3rd prize in the general classification at the ‘I Pincio Park’ concours d’élégance, held on June 21, 1947.

CLASSIC JOB: VOLVO P1800 S BODY RESTORATION
 
This Volvo P1800 S has been stripped by the owner. The bodywork is in the worst condition we have ever seen of a Volvo P1800 S. The sills, the tailgate, and the trunk floor are almost completely gone. Almost every part of the bodywork below the waist needs bodywork repair. In a special bath, the bodywork was stripped of paint and glue residue. The extensive bodywork restoration will start soon. To be continued!
