2.  Lorrene's Blog...
Thanks to everyone who braved the heat and humidity at last Monday's rehearsal!  Your efforts really paid off; you all made great advances in the music.  "Let Everything that hath Breath"  *really* sounds good and "All Works of Love" is on it's way!  I'm excited to see where we can take these pieces at our next rehearsal.

Please let us know how you feel about the newly instituted ten-minute mid rehearsal break.  Is it working for you?  Do you feel you are able to get all the information you need by reading the newsletter and checking the website?  Let us know.

Every week I leave rehearsal refreshed and uplifted (and last week....very sweaty!)    There is just something very special about VOICES.  I want to thank each of you for being part of that 'special'.  It really makes a difference in my life - I hope it does in yours, too.

Have a great week.
Lorrene
2.  Remember to Bring a Pencil...

3.  What's Happening Next Rehearsal...
We will be doing sectionals for the first half of rehearsal next Monday.
4.  Ad Sales...
Remember Friday, October 20!

Are you planning to sell an ACI program shell ad to one or more businesses?   Have you contacted the business(es) yet? If not, move fast!  The deadline for everything to come in – ads, checks, and agreements – is less than a month away: Friday, October 20.

The chorus members of VOICES have done a really outstanding job of signing up to sell ads: if you all succeed with sales, this fund-raising drive will be one of our most successful.  But success depends on each of you taking two important steps: (1) contacting the business and selling the ad, and (2) following through to receive the check, agreement, and ad, or to ensure that they are sent in to ACI by Friday, October 20.

I have once again attached the forms you need (advertiser’s agreement and introductory information) to this newsletter.  If you have questions, have forms or checks to turn in, or want to bring us up to date on your progress, you can reach Cindy Howell at rehearsal.  You can also reach me, Katy, at kkg1@cornell.edu.

Thank you for your work on these sales!

ACI Program Shell Coordinator

Thanks go to Noemi Kraut and Melody Johnson for offering to host sectionals!

There will be an alto sectional at Noemi's house on Wednesday, October 4th from 6:30-8:30.  Folks attending are asked to bring a light snack to share after the sectional.

Directions to both locations will be forthcoming.

I'm looking forward to both!
