January 7, 2020

Hello and welcome to 2020!

I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and are on track to enjoy a great new year! I look forward to bringing you more information and tips for the coming year.

As you may or may not know, I have not been able to move yet. I'm still here in the old house in Nebraska, fixing things up and searching for a buyer. It could take a while. So I must reel in the enthusiasm and take a more wait-and-see attitude. I'll let you know when it happens.

Feral Cats Put to Work at Newport News Shipbuilding Yard

This story was published in June of 2018, but I like it and thought you might like to see it anyway. The shipyard acquired about 500 cats to handle a rodent problem at the property, and it has been working out very well. Two points I think are important are that they are not left alone to catch rats, but are cared for to ensure they are healthy. They are fed, get vet care when needed, and any kittens born to those that haven't been altered yet are adopted to new homes.
