John 1:16 From the fullness of His grace we have all received one blessing after another.
GOD'S AMAZING GRACE: AN EVER FLOWING FOUNTAIN
How amazing is God's grace? It's like a fountain of water that keeps gushing forth and never runs out. Not only did God's grace redeem you to be His child through the once-and-for-all-time atoning death of His Son on Calvary's cross 2,000 years ago, it continues to flow to you every day. How many are the evidences of His grace as you survey His merciful dealings in your life down through the years!
Consider the blessings God has showered on you personally: The daily assurance of His fatherly care and provision (also in times of economic stress!), pardon and cleansing for your daily missteps against His commands, His Word shining as a beacon guiding your footsteps through a sin-darkened world, strengthening you to run your Christian race, gently correcting you when you have strayed from His paths, comforting you in times of stress and sorrow, piloting the ship of your life safely through every high and stormy gale.
Consider the blessings He has bestowed on you through your church membership: Worship services conducted each week where you are privileged to praise Him with your fellow-believers, His holy Word proclaimed in truth and purity and His holy Sacraments administered according to their institution by Christ (an exquisite blessing indeed) for the comfort of your soul, the Good News of Jesus delivered over to death for your sins and raised to life for your justification ringing out unchanged and unmodified from the mouth of His called servants, opportunities for Christian service, for prayer, for sharing the Good News of the Savior through your church's mission program.
All of these are marvelous evidence of God's grace. They are blessings you can count on Him to bestow on you for Jesus' sake as you walk with Him in faith -- till the day He brings you home.
