PRESS INVITE: Palestinian humanitarian worker on SA speaking tour

The South African chapter of the well known international NGO, Action Aid, together with various South African human rights and Palestine solidarity organisations is hosting a visiting Palestinian humanitarian worker, activist and Action Aid Palestine representative, Ibrahim Ibraigheth. Ibraigheth will be hosted at a series of events in Johannesburg between the 4th and 9th of August.

Ibrahim Ibraigheth comes from Beit Ommar near Hebron in Palestine. Ibraigheth has been held by Israel as a political prisoner over 17 times enduring torture during 4 of those arrests. Most of the Israeli arrests were under administrative detention (the equivalent of Apartheid South Africa’s detention without trial). Ibrahim Ibraigheth currently works for the Palestinian chapter of Action Aid.
