     Hello!
Greetings to you all - new subscribers and old! I hope your last few weeks have been good ones. I wanted to send over a November Newsletter to let you all know what I've been up and what's to come. Its fairly short as far as Joy Ike Newsletters go :) I've also used fewer exclamation marks in this one :)
PANDORA!
The music is up on Pandora! It was an incredibly long submission process and waiting period, but you can now create a Joy Ike station! I'm excited to share that with you :)
"PROMISED LAND" USED IN BRAZIL VIDEO!
Last month I noticed my song Promised Land (off the new album) was getting quite a number of hits. After doing a bit of research, I realized that the hits were coming from a video Vimeo featured as its pick of the week (through a music licensing service I've been working with). The a video was created by MOOV for the government of Brazil. I was ecstatic and breath-taken when I saw this video b/c South America was exactly what I had in mind when writing the song.  A TANGIBLE WAY TO HELP THE PHILIPPINES
 Last but most importantly: My heart goes out to the Philippines and to everyone who has lost family members, friends, their livelihood, and their hope. Last week I reached out to my drummer's mother, Luz Socrates (they are Filipino), to see if there was a way I could help. She and her husband are doctors have been doing mission work in the Philippines for years.
The Socrates' are raising funds through their partnership with PHI International and the University of the Philippines General Hospital. PHI International is a purely volunteer organization of medical professionals with no operational expenses. 100% of funds raised will go directly towards humanitarian aid for victims.
