IAHF Webmaster: Breaking News, Whats New, What to Do, All Countries, Codex, EU FSD, Controlled Opposition Groups

IAHF List:

I had to cancel the radio show I was scheduled to do tonight.

I also had to cancel a planned article in the Health Crusader that has a deadline of this coming monday for the same reasons, and I told the IAHF webmaster not to release ANH's 23 page reply to the letter written by HFMA's Peter Aldis which was distributed by Ralph Pike of the National Association of Health Stores.

The reason ANH's response can't be released, and I can't discuss it at the current time is that it could jeopardize ANH's legal efforts to communicate with HFMA and NAHS's attorneys about their perception that Peter Aldis's letter was defamatory.

Aldis and Pike's attorney's must be allowed sufficient time to respond to ANH's response to Aldis's letter which Pike spammed all over the place, (without even giving ANH the courtesy of sending it directly to them, or even of checking with them to see if the things they were saying were true or accurate.)

To say that this is frustrating would be the understatement of the year.

WHAT I _CAN_ TELL YOU

Please visit this website http://www.thecorporation.tv/splash.php and learn about a new award winning documentary currently playing in Canadian theaters which exposes the evils of corporations. All of the problems we are running into right now in our efforts to defend our access to supplements are summed up in this movie which will be coming to American theaters in June.

I _CAN_ tell you that the pharmaceutical takeover of the dietary supplement industry is totally transparent, and only ANH and allied groups are GENUINELY attempting to stop it.

Its very EASY to see what is going on, but STOPPING it is incredibly difficult.

Take a look at this announcement about the conference titled "The Future of Food Supplements in Europe" scheduled for Prague, Czech Republic in May: http://www.ahpa.org/Prague2004Conference.pdf You won't find ONE WORD in the brochure about this conference saying ANYTHING about ANY legal effort to overturn the EU Food Supplement Directive.

WHATS INTERESTING ABOUT THIS

The conference is being organized by IADSA (International Alliance of Dietary Supplement Associations), and HFMA is a member.
IADSA has been exposed by IAHF as a controlled opposition group for a long time- see http://www.iahf.com/iadsa

HFMA are co-claimants in the NAHS/HFMA supposed "lawsuit" ostensibly to "overturn" the EU Food Supplement Directive.
My perception is that NAHS/HFMA area controlled opposition group attempting to derail ANH's GENUINE efforts to defend consumer's interests.

HFMA is chaired by Peter Aldis, the guy who ANH's is very strongly alleging has defamed them in an effort to try to destroy their base of support.

WHO IS ALDIS and WHAT IS NATURE's BOUNTY?

Peter Aldis is the ceo of Holland and Barrett, the largest chain of health food stores in the UK. Holland and Barrett is owned by Nature's Bounty, the largest vitamin company in the world.

Natures Bounty is a vertically integrated U.S. manufacturer and distributor of a broad line of nutritional supplements in the United States and throughout the world. The Company markets approximately 1,500 products under several brands, including Nature's Bounty(R), Vitamin World(R), Puritan's Pride(R), Holland & Barrett(R), Rexall(R), Sundown(R), American Health(R) and GNC (UK), L&H Vitamins. They own the urls for Vitamins.com and for webrx.com and have purchased the mailing lists of those companies.

KEY THING TO REALIZE- WHICH REALLY HELPS UNDERSTAND WHAT IS GOING ON

As a publicly traded company, Nature's Bounty's owners, officers, and executives are legally bound to protect the business interests of their shareholders, and can be sued by shareholders if they take actions which go against their business interests.

It is NOT in Nature's Bounty's best interests to overturn the EU Food Supplement Directive, because it would allow them to expand their marketshare throughout Europe with one set of harmonized regulations for 25 nations.

The Food Supplements Directive slightly LIBERALIZES what is allowed to be sold througout MOST of Europe, while SLAMMING what would be allowed to be sold in England, Ireland, Holland, and Sweden, (the 4 countries where consumers currently have the greatest degree of access to products, and the countries which people in the REST of Europe buy products from by mailorder because what they're able to buy in their countries is so limited.

There is so much _MORE_ I _WISH_ I could talk about with you having seen ANH's response to Aldis's letter, but I cannot without possibly weakening their legal efforts.
I'm going to use the next couple of weeks to put together a Power Point Presentation, looking towards the moment I AM able to release this information, and I'm going to organize a public speaking venue somewhere in the metro Seattle area that I will videotape, in order to make the tapes available.

Hopefully, we will be able to keep the dietary supplement industry from being destroyed from within, but right now- all I can do is play a waiting game, and try to prepare for the moment when I CAN release the information I'm being forced to sit on right now.

Please urge more people to sign on to the IAHF website at http://www.iahf.com When ANH DOES allow me to release their reply to Aldis's letter, it will be VERY BIG NEWS and I will need your help to alert all the vitamin companies and health food stores in the supplement industry that are being led to the cliff.

If ANH is able to run this gauntlet of NAHS/HFMA's efforts to destroy them and to marginalize them via the scurrulous disinfo campaign they've mounted in an effort to try to keep their legal efforts from getting off the ground, and if they can get a court date at the European Court of Justice prior to the next Codex meeting in November, and win, we can defend our health freedom and access to dietary supplements.

But if they are either unable to run this gauntlet, and get a court date with the EU Court of Justice prior to the next UN Codex meeting in November, there may not be a thing we can do short of preparing to be part of the biggest black market in the history of the world.

If Codex is able to meet in November BEFORE ANH can get a court date at the EU Court of Justice, and they FINALIZE a vitamin standard at Codex, ANH could be TOAST because the EU Court of Justice might just say that the EU has no choice but to harmonize its laws to Codex on a basis of the SPS (Sanitary- Phytosanitary Measures Agreement)

If this terminology confuses you or you need help connecting the dots on what I'm saying, please read Greg Ciola's interview of me discussing this issue in the Health Crusader Magazine http://www.thehealthcrusader.com/pgs/article-0104-ban.shtml

Please urge more people to sign onto the IAHF email distribution list via http://www.iahf.com , so the moment I can go public with ANH's response to Aldis's letter, the maximum number of vitamin consumers world wide can spring into immediate action.

Stay tuned.... its not over til the fat lady sings, and even THEN its not over. Its not over til hell freezes over and THEN we will fight on ICE.
