Third and last single before Svart katts's new album is released the 11th of november. The guitars cut in and hit one's innermost shaft, as if one were made of nothing but perishable butter, add also a melancholic synth, catchy chorus and a kraut outro.

Svart katt is a punk band that doesn't really identify with the punk scene. Despite that, few Swedish bands have been so respected for their honesty, sincerity and rawness. Everything that defines punk.
 
When Johan, Robin and Micke, who make up the band, are asked to describe their music, they say that people can call it what they want, but describe the music itself as very stripped down. "No exuberance, the songs are quite simple – yet full-bodied," says bassist Robin.
 
So far, that has often resulted in songs clocking in at under two minutes, but on the new album "Svart katt", out on November 11, there are actually several songs that are over three minutes long. "We never try to do something just to fill in. If there's no purpose, we remove it, we've always done. But if there's a purpose for a song to be long, let it be long." "Inte ensam" is the entire 4:13.
 
The first single ”Allt går över" was released on August 11. It has a more electronic production than previous songs, and also features a clarinet played by Konie (Les Big Byrd, V***** Boys). Micke, drummer in the band and the one who managed both recording and mixing, has worked a lot with setting moods, a lot with the help of synths, and especially "Allt går över" has been influenced by that.
 
The second single was released on September 16, ”Du var så bra". It reminds you that you easily take someone for granted while they are near you, but when they are no longer there you realize how good you actually had it. The theme is reminiscent of the first single and is a reminder of the impermanence of everything.
 
But even if the themes in the lyrics are recognisable, you can hear a new direction in the development of the music, there are new thoughts and ideas that were not there before. All reins have been released, there are no more rules.
