"We are here to help each other get through this thing, whatever it is."

- Kurt Vonnegut Jr.

THE RANGER REPORT - March 13, 2021 The Official Newsletter of The Mighty Manatees Medicine Show "Celebrating 35 Years of Getting Through This Thing, Whatever it Is"

BACK IN THE STUDIO! - It's true! Karl "K-Jo" Frick and I are back at Lakestone Studio to complete the band's new album.. I'll also be in the studio with Mike Guldin recording a new song that he and I wrote for his upcoming album.

VIRUS MYKYL! - It's true! Mighty Manatees drummer Ras Mykyl recently tested positive for Covid-19. He is in quarantine right now and is in good spirits. He has not lost his sense of smell, taste, or humor. Get well soon, Ras Mykyl!

VIDEO CLIP OF THE MONTH - This month's clip is from a little over a year ago at one of our last shows before the pandemic. This was filmed in Huntington Valley, PA, at the LNC Event Center inside the Sound Sanctuary. We are playing a song made famous
by The Wailers. From left to right: Joe Rizzo - electric guitar, myself - acoustic guitar, Ras Mykyl - drums, Bob Tomlinson - acoustic guitar, Randy Wagner - bass, Karl Frick - keyboards. Special thanks to Denny Horn. R.I.P. Bunny Wailer.

ENVIRONMENTAL TIP OF THE MONTH - There has been some discussion among recyclers about what exactly IS recyclable trash and what isn't. Some people put things in recycling bins that don't belong and are actually clogging up the sorting machines. To help settle this debate someone came up with the catch phrase "The Core Four". The Core Four are the four things you can safely recycle.
They are:

1. Cardboard
2. Plastic bottles/containers
3. Glass bottles/containers
4. Aluminum cans

No plastic film, bags, paper towels or tissues!

OK, that's all the news for now.

Please stay safe, well, and smart,
Ranger Well
