The Mighty Manatees will play their FIRST outdoor show of 2010 this Saturday afternoon, April 17, outside The Drafting Room in Spring House, PA. The band will be performing under the sky for the 6th Annual Hop-Fest. www.draftingroom.com
Calling all "hop-heads" for some sun & fun! Showtime is 1:00 - 4:00.
Following this afternoon outdoor show, we head down the road a few miles to play an evening indoor concert at Brother Paul's in Eagleville, PA. www.brotherpauls.com Showtime is 9:30 - 1:30
On Friday, April 30, The Mighty Manatees DEBUT at The Saloon (formerly The Moody Monkey) in Jeffersonville, PA. www.thesaloonbarandgrill.net Showtime is 5:00 - 9:00.
The Mighty Manatees SECOND outdoor show of the year will be on the afternoon of Saturday, May 8 at the Cabana Bar in Skippack, PA. www.bastacabanabar.com Showtime is 1:00 - 5:00.
72 hours later, on Tuesday, May 11 (two days after Mother's Day), The Mighty Manatees will return with the "Out-of-Towners" to DaVinci's in Collegeville, PA for a special show featuring my mother (who turns 80 this year). www.davincispub.com Showtime is 8:00 - 12:00.
And speaking of the "Out-of-Towners" (New York City's Jason Crosby-Keys/Fiddle/Guitar/Vocals, Washington DC's Walter Tates Jr., Sax, & Sista Pat - Vocals) will also be appearing with The Mighty Manatees at the Dutch Cottage on Thurs., April 29. Showtime is 9:30 - 1:30.
Manatee Fun Fact: Did you know that Manatees drummer Jim "Grampa" Cavanaugh will be playing this Sunday, April 18 at the Bridgeport Rib-House with local sixties TV personality Sally Starr? It's true! Jim & Sally are appearing as part of the Franny Beecher Band. (Franny was the legendary guitarist with Bill Haley & The Comets). www.ribhouse.net Showtime is 7:30 - 11:30.
