Neighbors and friends,
Tonight at 5 PM the Weber County Library Board of Trustees will be meeting at the Ogden Valley branch in Huntsville. Some of the County commissioners will also be in attendance.
They will be discussing a proposed bond for future library improvements and an important announcement will be made. We will leak it here so you will be the first to know.
The Library and the Town of Huntsville have agreed in principal to a purchase agreement whereas the Library will purchase the lot to the west of the library where the old maintenance shed now stands. The library has agreed to not use it as a parking lot, but for future growth, as they would like to build an addition to the current structure.
As part of the agreement, they have given the town the option to purchase the land for today's sell price should the library ultimately vacate the property and close their doors. In essence, they are committing to staying for the next decade.
The new agreement has many other benefits to both the residents of Huntsville and the entire valley.
The town, in conjunction with the library board, would appreciate your support by attending the meeting Tuesday night at 5 PM.
Please attend if you can.
