In tribute to the legacy of Dr. King, Panera Bread is excited to invite high school students in the Greater Pittsburgh Area to help honor the legacy and work of one of this nation's most revered leaders, by creating a comtemporary reflection and response to the provided prose.
"Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly. I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be. This is the interrelated structure of reality."
Each respondent may present a essay, poem or spoken word lyric that reflects on the following questions:
How do you feel about this quote?
What does this quote mean to you?
How can our nation use these words to honor Dr. King and the life he lived?
