1. Summer!
 
With the advent of summer we can expect heat, insects, sunburn, and more active lifestyles, including celebrations, vacations and outdoor time. Hopefully, your pets did not suffer the stress of fireworks for July 4th. Keeping them indoors is the best way to keep them comfortable.

Here are some considerations for having an enjoyable summer:

Summertime blues?   
 
Hot fun in the summertime sounds cool — but it can be dangerous, and that’s especially true for cats with outdoor privileges. While the topic of exclusively indoors vs. indoors/outdoors is about as divisive as today’s politics, there are some basic facts when it comes to cats’ summer safety.


Loss Prevention and Recovery
 
Even indoor cats should wear ID tags. Should they escape, having a tag at least lets people know the cat belongs to someone and won't be treated as a stray.
