Let's Read Youth Literacy Programs
New sessions beginning soon!         
Dear L.A. Works volunteers,
 
Let’s Read is a multi-week, literacy-based program designed to encourage literacy and a love for reading among youth. Volunteers, ideally committing to the full series of project sessions, spend time reading with and to youth and encouraging critical thinking and understanding.
 
L.A. Works is proud to support two Let’s Read programs in Los Angeles.
 
Let's Read @ Nora Sterry Elementary
Let’s Read @ Nora Sterry Elementary takes place in west Los Angeles and will be starting it’s Spring Session this Saturday, April 23rd.

Let's Read @ Pueblo 
Let’s Read @ Pueblo takes place at a large housing development near downtown Los Angeles and will be starting its Summer Session on Saturday, May 28th (with an orientation for new volunteers taking place on Saturday, May 21st).
 
This program is focused not only on promoting literacy but also life skills important to helping the kids succeed in the future.
