LOOP
CONFIRM ADDITIONAL CO-HEADLINE SHOWS with GODFLESH for JUNE

“With psychedelia enjoying something of a considerable resurgence and, in places, threatening to become the next bandwagon for hopeless chancers and pretty boys in polo necks and beads to hitch their nag to, Loop's re-emergence is a most welcome treat. “ The Quietus

"One of our fondest memories from the early days of GODFLESH is when LOOP, at the peak of their popularity, offered us to support them on a extensive UK tour. 'Streetcleaner' had only just been released and was gaining momentum, LOOP opened doors for us and presented us to an unsuspecting public... This forged the bond between LOOP and GODFLESH forever, and now we can share a stage once more, something that I don't think either band considered would ever happen again, so it is with immense pleasure that we can announce this union." - Godflesh

Preceeding their London dates, Loop will play their first shows across the US since 1990. Starting on 16th April at Kung Fu Necktie in Philadelphia, stopping off at the Austin Psych Fest (3rd & 4th May) and concluding on 16th May at Doug Fir Lounge in Portland, the band will play a total of 21 dates across North America.

Joining Loop's original members Neil Mackay, Scott Dowson and Robert Hampson for US & UK live shows is Heads / Kandodo drummer Wayne Maskell.

ABOUT LOOP
“In the second half of the 1980’s Loop were one of a trio of English groups who used a blueprint of ‘69 influenced pyschedelia to create something startlingly original... LOOP drew on the primal force of predecessors such as VU, The Stooges and Suicide as a launchpad for their own excursions into the realms of mind expansion.” Mojo

“These were stars that burned and shone with an intense brightness, and it's testament to Loop's vision and delivery that the mark they made is indelible." The Quietus
