Delegates also met with the Disability Discrimination Commissioner Graeme Innes, and Helen Potts of the Australian Human Rights Commission
. The Australian Human Rights Commission will also be providing a report to the UN Committee. The Commission has the opportunity to comment on Australia's compliance with the Convention. Mr Innes has indicated to delegates that he will be available to discuss any matters during the UN committee process.

who has produced a photographic essay Unfinished Business
, about disability in Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The Australian Ambassador is hosting an exhibition on behalf of First Peoples Disability Network
and this will open on Monday 2 September. All Australian delegates have been invited to attend.
The delegation reviewed the final draft of its opening statement to the UN committee. Delegates have a brief 10 minutes to provide an introductory statement to the UN committee in the opening session of Monday 2 September. The next daily report will include details of this statement.
The Australian delegation also discussed running its own meeting with members of the UN committee on Tuesday third September. At this event delegates will present Australia's NGO report in more detail. UN Committee members will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the issues as they relate to Australia at greater length.
