In this Hotline:

Town Council Meeting Today

The town council will hold their regularly scheduled meeting Today, Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 7:00 PM.   A public hearing for several ordinance will be held in conjunction with the meeting.Click to view the agenda.

Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.

Property Tax Information

By now you have probably received a packet containing several comparative spreadsheets of local Property assessments and taxes.  They were prepared by Lance Wakefield, brother of Theron, and represent a significant investment in time and money on his part.

Every home in within Huntsville Town should have received one, but if you did not, additional packets are available at the post office.

Thanks to Lance for his efforts and thanks to D-Bell who continues to work diligently towards state wide tax reform.  He cannot do it alone and your support will be needed when the State Legislature meets in mid January.

We are taking our "For Sale" signs down for now, but be ready to use them again in January.

 Ice Rink

As long as the weather cooperates, we will be working on the ice rink this week with the goal of having it ready for the Christmas break.

The rink is prepped most evenings after about 8 PM when the temperature is below 20 degrees or so.  Any help would be appreciated.

With the recent park improvements and if the weatherman is on our side, the rink should be the best in Huntsville History.

That’s all for now, have a great week.

Sincerely,

Richard L. Sorensen
