Public Open House for the Morgan County-Ogden Valley Rural Planning Organization

The Wasatch Front Regional Council (WFRC) is holding a public open for the Rural Planning Organization (RPO) for Morgan County and the Ogden Valley. The Morgan County-Ogden Valley RPO was formed to establish a process for the local jurisdictions within Morgan County and the upper Ogden Valley to cooperatively plan the transportation system and prioritize transportation projects. The RPO is developing a long-range transportation plan for Morgan County and the Ogden Valley. The long-range plan anticipates future growth by providing a critical blueprint for transportation in our local communities and across the region and accomplishes this through proactive planning by integrating multiple transportation modes and working to enhance the capacity of the transportation system overall.

The RPO invites the public to learn about the RPO and provide comment on the long-range transportation plan goals and projects.

Two in-person public open houses will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at the Huntsville Library at 131 South 7400 East, in Huntsville Town from 6:00 to 7:30 pm and Thursday, July 19, 2018 at the Morgan County Offices Auditorium at 48 W Young Street in Morgan City from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Both events will run from 4:30 to 6:30 pm.

Requests for information, questions, or comments may be directed to Julie Bjornstad, julieb@wfrc.org, during business hours at (801) 363-4250.

To ensure full participation in the public involvement process, accommodations for effective communication such as sign language interpreters or printed materials in an alternate format must be requested at least five working days prior to the date on which they will be needed. Requests for accommodations should be directed to Julie Bjornstad via the contact information specified above. For deaf/hearing impaired persons, dial 711 to make a relay call or send a request for assistance to julieb@wfrc.org.
