I wish you, also on behalf of our garages, a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR! It is always a great feeling to enter a fresh new year with new challenges, interesting perspectives, new encounters and surprising adventures!
2018 starts with the addition of a new ClassicarGarage partner company; CLASSIC JOB in Dalfsen, the Netherlands. Below you can read an article about this renowned Dutch restoration company, illustrated with ten photographs to have a look inside the workshops! From January 1st the firm of Lex Classics is no longer a ClassicarGarage partner. After a very successful partnership of 10 years Lex Classics is entering a new course of business in 2018. I wish Lex Classics and all the employees all the best for the future and I thank them for the pleasant co-operation.
Next week the Maastricht InterClassics show will open its gates for the 25th year in succession! Our garages will be present on this anniversary edition with many beautiful classic and sports cars from the CCG sales collection and some 'surprises' which will be tested and photographed shortly!

Mercedes-Benz 200 Cabriolet (W21 C ‘Kurz’), year 1933. ‘Matching numbers’. Colour ‘two-tone’ dark red combined with black. Beige leather interior and beige carpet. Black mohair hood and hood-cover. (The latter was still with the owner during photography, so not pictured regretfully.) This beautiful and rare Mercedes W21 Cabriolet is a special ‘Sindelfingen’-bodied model build on a short (‘Kurz’) chassis. The car was perfectly ‘body-off’ restored and overhauled to original specifications from the year 2009 until 2016. Everything was restored, renewed and overhauled; this Mercedes-Benz is in pristine concours condition!

Classic Job is a perfect addition to our other garages adding a lot of experience with many vintage and classic car makes and a great knowledge of French marques. At Classic Job the most important restoration and overhaul works are executed in their own workshops. The company has a roomy service workshop with five service ramps, a fully equipped sheetmetal workshop, a top class car painting shop, a fully equipped overhaul workshop for rebuilding engines, gearboxes, rear axles and other mechanical parts. You will find Classic Job as your service partner for regular service, accident repair, (partial and full) restorations, repairs, overhauls, rally- and race-preparations of pre-war automobiles, classic cars and young-timer cars.
Classic Job offers massive restoration and overhauling experience, many makes and models which you find on ClassicarGarage have been restored (once or multiple times) to brand new top condition! The overhaul workshop works daily on the most diverse projects; single cylinder engines built around 1900 (for which all the parts have to be hand crafted), (racing) engines of vintage cars from the 1920ies and 1930ies, big American V8 engines, and a multitude of popular engines and gearboxes from the likes of Citroën, Peugeot, Austin Healey, MG and many others. Lotus Elan Sprint, year 1971. Colour red with gold coloured bumpers, black wheels, and a black interior. The Lotus Elan is globally acclaimed by connoisseurs and drivers as being the best handling classic sports car for the open road. The low weight of only 670 kilogrammes (glass fibre reinforced plastic body mounted on a central-tube 'back-bone' chassis) combined with a powerful 125 bhp engine and splendid road holding have resulted in a spectacular compact sports car. This gorgeous example was imported to the Netherlands in the year 2002, the car has known only one enthusiast owner ever since. In the year 2004 the right-hand-drive steering was professionally changed to left-hand-drive steering. The car has been serviced and maintained beautifully; In recent years the brake-system, the cooling-system and the carburettors were overhauled/ renewed. The car is in excellent and very original condition!

This wonderful example has been with one owner for thirty years! The car was extensively restored in the 1980ies and it has been serviced and maintained very well ever since. This Lotus Elan is in an excellent condition with some slight signs of use and the car has driven 85.300 kilometres from new!

From Thursday 11 January (preview day) until Sunday 14 January you can visit the Maastricht InterClassics show to admire many beautiful classic cars for sale, and to enjoy the special 25 years anniversary exhibition! On InterClassics the 'high lights' of the earlier 18 theme exhibitions will be on show. You may expect 'show stopping cars' from the themes Jaguar, Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin, Bugatti, British Royals, Maserati, Grand Prix Classics, America’s Fine Classics, etcetera. It will be quite a display!
Of course you can also visit the the ClassicarGarages at InterClassics 2018. Altena Classic Service, Classic Cars Friesland, Imparts British Cars & Spares and Smiths-Veglia present their finest cars on their stands. Amicale Facel Holland has made possible the presence of the exclusive and rare 1955 Facel Vega FV1 which was part of the Facel Vega theme in 2017. Yours truly will be present on Thursday and Friday, I hope to meet you there!
