Chers amis,
Ce dimanche 12 Mai 2013, notre rando débutera entre collines et vallons avec pour panorama le village pittoresque de Baskinta et le majestueux Sannine.
Le parcours sera ponctué par différents cours d’eau (taris en ce moment de l’année) que nous aurons à traverser, ainsi que par des formations rocheuses impressionnantes, pour accéder aux ruines d’un ancienchâteau connu par “ Kasr bent el malak”.De là nous continuerons jusqu’à la falaise des pigeons (avec un peu de chance nous pourront admirer les pigeons sauvages) tout en remontant vers la station de Zaarour pour redescendre et emprunter des routes agricoles et arriver à Bteghrine notre destination.
La région est connue pour la richesse de sa faune endémique (perdrix, pigeons sauvages, éperviers et renards).
Quelques passages difficiles sont à noter quand on aura à longer la montagne pour accéder au château dont le sentier est clair, mais au bord d’une pente abrupte.

Le prix: par personne est de 25$ (ou 38,000 L.L.) incluant le transport en bus, l'assurance, les guides. (Apportez la monnaie exacte).
Faisabilité: Il faut être au minimum 15 inscrits pour que la sortie ait lieu.
Le rendez vous est à 7:30 am précise au parking qui est près de l’urgence de l'hôpital du Sacré Cœur à Hazmieh. Pour y arriver prendre la bifurcation à droite juste apres Pain d'Or. C'est le 1er parking a votre gauche. Soyez Ponctuel !

This Sunday, May 12, 2013 our hike will begin between hills and valleys with a scenic view over the village of Baskinta and the majestic Sannine. In order to access the ruins of a former Castle known as “Kasr el Malak”, we will be crossing many streams (dried up at this time of the year), as well as impressive rocky formations. There we will continue up to the pigeon’scliff while climbing to Zaarour station(if we are lucky we can admire wild pigeons). We will follow farm roads to reach our destination, Bteghrine. The region is known for the richness of its endemic fauna (Partridge, wild pigeons, hawks, and foxes).
A few difficult passages are noted walking along the mountain to reach the castle where the trail is clear, but on a steep slope.

Feasibility: A minimum of 15 persons is required.
The meeting is at 7:30 am at the parking next to the Emergency Entrance of the Sacré Cœur hospital Hazmieh. To reach it, turn right towards Pain d'Or. The Parking is the 1st one on you left. Please, be on time!
