Mackworth Club reinvent themselves as the Mackworth Arms during lockdown
During the lockdown brethren of The Mackworth Club have been having virtual meetings in what is affectionately known as the Mackworth Arms via Zoom. For information as how to join in please click here. The meeting number stays the same but the password may change each week, for details of new passwords see the Facebook page or emails sent out by Lodge Secretaries.
 
Neyland Lodge Support the Community

A presentation on behalf  of  the members of the Neyland Lodge of Freemasons No 990 to the Trustees of the Hook Miners Trust to enable them to upgrade their playpark was made by the Lodge Charity Steward Wor Bro Bryn Lewis at the Trusts monthly meeting on the 17th March.  For full details click here. 
 
Prince of Wales Lodge host Llanelli Scouts and Cubs
Earlier this year members of the Prince of Wales lodge No 671 invited the local cubs and scouts to attend at the Masonic Hall, Llanelli.
Approximately 30 cubs and scouts attended along with their scout leaders.
Pictured are members of the Prince of Wales who were dressed in various craft, chapter and other side degree regalia.
 
Following the joint statement issued by UGLE and MCF in late March in relation to the Covid-19 outbreak, the two organisations have been working closely to put in place a comprehensive response to support people and charities affected.  In addition, the MCF has stepped up the support offered to families and individuals from the masonic community struggling at this time. West Wales Help for Healthcare
In these challenging days, one of the most difficult things for those who find themselves in healthcare environments is separation from their loved ones. Hospitals and Care Homes are unable to allow visitors, and this means that those in the most need of their loved ones are isolated and alone.
 
To help patients stay in touch with their loved ones, The West Wales Grand Charity has bought 21 x 10” Media Pads at a cost of £1,800 and these will be donated to specific health professionals throughout the Province to use in a range of hospital and healthcare settings.  For further details click here. 
 
Freemasons Protect the Elderly
Freemasons across England and Wales are coming together to provide vital personal protective equipment (PPE) for care homes to protect the elderly, following health secretary Matt Hancock’s call for a "Herculean effort" to protect critical NHS staff. For the full story click here. 
 
Peterwell in the Big City
Earlier this year three Brethren from Peterwell Lodge were honoured to be invited to attend the Installation meeting of Guildhall Lodge No 3116.  The meeting was held at the Mansion House in the City of London, the residence of the Lord Mayor of the City of London, not your average Masonic meeting place by any means.
