THE MIGHTY MANATEES FINALLY COMPLETE NEW ALBUM! - Their new CD, "Medicine Show", took root three years ago at Fuzztone Studios in Springfeild, PA. During it's creation the band has changed keyboardists, saxophonists, and bassists, as well as seeing the addition of Brian Herder on dobro/fiddle/guitar/pedal steel, and Nancy Josephson on background vocals. "Medicine Show" producer/keyboardist/violinist Jason Crosby re-located to California in the middle of the project to play with Bob Weir & Phil Lesh. A long strange trip indeed....
The new album features 14 tracks including 9 original songs. Cover art is by Liam Hodgson who has done the band's last 4 CD covers.
CD RELEASE PARTY! - This Sunday, May 5 (Cinco De Mayo), The Mighty Manatees will headline at the Sellersville Theater. "The Medicine Show Concert" will feature a 10-piece band including Kate & Nancy from the Angel Band singing harmonies. The group will be playing two full sets starting at 7:30PM. The first set will be acoustical and the second set will be electrical. Ticket price includes FREE copy of the new CD "Medicine Show". Other Manatees CDs and merchandise will be available.
