Matthew 2:11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh.

DRAW US TO YOU, LORD: THAT WE MAY WORSHIP

When the wise men arrived at the house in Bethlehem they saw Jesus and His mother Mary and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh.

How can we not pour at Jesus' feet the treasures of our love? Because of all He had done for them the wise men worshiped and presented their gifts; because they had been drawn by the mighty hand of God to kneel at His feet and offer Him the treasures of their love.

Jesus your Savior gave up everything -- even His very life -- to bring you eternal joy and happiness through the forgiveness of your sins. What great love!

May we ever be willing return our best, imperfect as it is, to the Babe of Bethlehem as a token of our thanksgiving; as a small acknowledgment of the tremendous power of God that has given us fellowship with Christ, the Son -- and has given us a "window" into God's ways and thinking concerning us.

Draw us to You, Lord, that we may worship. "Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing: 'To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!'" (Revelation 5:13-14).
