THE "COMING" OF OUR SAVIOR IS FULFILLED IN BETHLEHEM
(Excerpts from a Children's Christmas Eve Service)

Narration: When everything was in place and all was made ready according to His plan, God arranged for His Son to be born of a virgin in the city of Bethlehem just as He had foretold through His Prophets.

Herald: Hark now, children of God, and ye shall hear the words of the apostles, Paul and Luke. They record for all the amazing, yea, glorious events before Jesus' birth.

Child's Recitation: "But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons" (Galatians 4:4-5).

Herald: I beckon ye listen now for this is no small thing. This the baby Jesus, despite His humble birth, was born to be the great King, to save all from Satan's power, to cast woe, indeed destroy, that most wretched enemy and to rule in our hearts by faith.

Child's Recitation: "And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city. Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn" (Luke 2:1-7).
