Rachel Kushner author of Telex From Cuba
Thursday, July 17th at 7:00 PM

“ Through the eyes of the innocent and those that are world weary, Rachel Kushner creates a mesmerizing and deeply intelligent tale of the unraveling of the privileged and at times surreal life of Americans in Cuba in the 1950s. “Telex From Cuba” is a heady and richly imagined tapestry.” —Lisa Fugard, author of “Skinner's Drift”

Ethan Canin author of America America
Friday, July 18th at 7:00 PM

Please join us at 6:30 PM for a glass of wine to help celebrate the publication of his latest novel. Ethan is an old friend and we are delighted to welcome him home to San Francisco.

From the bestselling author of The Palace Thief and Carry Me Across the Water comes this stunning novel, set in the Nixon era and today, about a great family, a political tragedy, and the impact of fate on history.

John Updike recently enthused, “Like Dickens, Canin has an unabashed fantastic streak.”
