Here is the message I read to the students and staff this morning. Misty's final details are linked below as well.

Good Morning,
By now, many of you have learned that we suffered a tragedy over the weekend. Our longtime colleague, Misty Gillespie, which many of you know as Ms. Misty passed away from a very sudden health issue. Those of you were lucky enough to get to know Ms. Misty know how caring and giving she was. Her passing leaves us with an emptiness that can only be filled with memories of Ms. Misty but that will take time. If you are struggling with this news, please, please come to the counseling office. We want to walk alongside you as we all process this tragedy.
Now I would ask that we share a moment of silence in support of Ms. Misty and her family beginning now.
Thank you.

Finally, we are establishing a scholarship in honor of Ms. Misty so that her name lives forever at Fremont High School. On Friday, we will have a 1 day fundraiser to begin the funding of the scholarship. If you’d like to donate, please remember to do so on Friday. If you’d like to leave a message for the family, I will make sure the family receives it. Ms. Misty’s visitation will be this Friday at the Fremont Wesleyan Church from 4-8.

Ms. Misty leaves us with lasting memories. She was nice to everybody. She tried to understand the other person’s point of view, and she loved every person that came into her life. Her example becomes a path for all of us to follow. Again, if you need support, please come to the counseling office. May Peace be on Ms. Misty, her family, friends and all of us.
